Dr. Folakemi Cole-Adeife, a Consultant Dermatologist at Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja, has been honored with the prestigious 2025 Young Dermatologist International Achievement (YDIA) Award by the International League of Dermatological Societies (ILDS). She is one of six recipients globally recognized for their outstanding contributions to dermatological care, especially in underserved regions.

The YDIA Awards spotlight exceptional dermatologists with less than 15 years of experience who are making significant strides in improving skin health worldwide. Other awardees include Dr. Niraj Parajuli (Asia), Dr. Esther Freeman (North America), Dr. Bryan Guevara (East Asia and Oceania), Dr. Jonathan Ho (Latin America), and Dr. Zenas Yiu (Europe).
