Nollywood actress and former beauty queen Princess Chineke has made a groundbreaking transition by enlisting in the United States Army, becoming the first Nigerian actress to do so. Known for her roles in films such as Battleground and Last Flight to Abuja, as well as television series like Super Story and Papa Ajasco, Chineke’s move has surprised fans and industry colleagues alike.
Before her acting career, Chineke gained recognition as a model, representing her state in the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria (MBGN) pageant. Her portfolio includes numerous television commercials, billboards, and runway appearances. In 2023, she relocated to the United States in search of new opportunities, a move she discussed in a September 2023 interview with Vanguard News, where she refuted claims of abandoning her acting career.
Expressing her motivation for joining the U.S. Army, Chineke stated, “I love the prestige that comes with the American military. As a citizen of this great country that has done so much for me, I feel it’s my turn to give back. God bless America.”
