The British government has ordered the deportation of Pastor Tobi Adegboyega, founder of the controversial SPAC Nation church, following his loss at an immigration tribunal. The decision comes after investigations revealed financial misconduct and a lack of transparency within his church.

SPAC Nation was shut down after failing to account for over £1.87 million, with allegations of coercing vulnerable members into unethical fundraising methods, including benefit fraud and selling blood. Adegboyega, who arrived in the UK in 2005 on a visitor’s visa, has since been living unlawfully.

Despite claims that his deportation would breach his family life rights under the European Convention on Human Rights, the tribunal ruled against him, citing misconduct and a lack of substantial value to the UK.
