Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim has shared insights into his ongoing discussions with club legend Sir Alex Ferguson, revealing how he’s seeking the iconic manager’s wisdom to navigate the team’s challenging form. Speaking to Radio 5 Live after their 3-1 defeat to Brighton, Amorim described Ferguson’s influence on his mindset.
“I speak with Sir Alex several times,” Amorim said. “I try to call him to stay positive. It’s really good because I feel the history of the club, but it’s very tough to be leading the team right now. They did such a good job, so it’s not easy.”
Manchester United, currently 13th in the Premier League with 26 points from 22 matches, have struggled to rediscover the dominance they once boasted under Ferguson, who last led them to the league title in 2013. The Red Devils must regroup quickly as they face Rangers in a crucial UEFA Europa League tie on Thursday.
