Controversial Nigerian transgender celebrity, Bobrisky, has declared the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to be the “most wicked” organization in the country. In a series of Instagram Stories posted on Monday, Bobrisky criticized the agency for what she perceives as double standards and a lack of empathy.

The social media influencer was reacting to the EFCC’s call for compassion following the death of one of its officers, who was fatally shot during a raid in Anambra State. Bobrisky alleged that the EFCC routinely imposes undue stress and intimidation on suspects, citing a past personal encounter during which she was detained and her residence was searched.

“You’re asking the public to be human over the loss of your staff, but you are the most wicked people in Nigeria,” she wrote. “You took me to my house under the claim of money laundering, wanting to see if I was printing cash. The police are 100 percent better than you all.”

Bobrisky’s bold remarks have reignited debates over the perceived tactics of the EFCC, with some users on social media supporting her viewpoint and others defending the anti-graft commission’s efforts to tackle corruption. The EFCC has not issued a formal response to Bobrisky’s allegations, but it continues to solicit public support in its fight against economic and financial crimes.
