Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has addressed the club’s rumored interest in Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho, amid speculations that the Argentina international could leave Old Trafford during the January transfer window.

Reports suggest that Chelsea and Napoli are keen on securing the services of the 20-year-old, with Napoli eyeing Garnacho as a potential replacement for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who recently joined Paris Saint-Germain. However, Manchester United is reluctant to sell the young winger despite their ongoing financial challenges.

Speaking during a pre-match press conference ahead of Chelsea’s Premier League clash against Manchester City on Saturday, Maresca appeared to downplay the rumors, emphasizing his satisfaction with the attacking options at his disposal.

“I’m happy with what we have in this moment,” Maresca told reporters. “On the right side, we have Pedro Neto and Noni Madueke, and on the left, Jadon Sancho. We had Misha [Mykhailo Mudryk], but he is not with us. Tyrique George is a young profile that can help us.”

Maresca’s comments suggest that Chelsea is unlikely to make a move for Garnacho in the current transfer window, instead focusing on maximizing the potential of its current roster.

As transfer speculation continues to swirl, Garnacho remains a valuable asset for Manchester United, having established himself as one of the most promising young talents in the Premier League.
