Suspected kidnappers unleashed terror in the Chikakore area of Kubwa, Bwari Area Council, Federal Capital Territory (FCT), abducting a man, his wife, son, and two others in a midnight raid on Monday, January 27, 2025.
The assailants, numbering about 30 and armed with AK-47 rifles, stormed the residence of Adefija Michael Akinropo around 12:00 am, taking him, his wife, their son, and his elder brother. The attackers then moved to a nearby poultry farm, where they kidnapped another man and inflicted injuries on his wife.
The attack has left the community in shock and heightened fears of insecurity in the FCT. Efforts to reach the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, Josephine Adeh, confirmed that she is currently seeking more details from the Divisional Police Officer (DPO).
This incident is the latest in a string of kidnappings that have plagued the FCT, raising concerns about the safety of residents and the effectiveness of security measures in the area.
