Justice K.B. Olawoyin of the Oyo State High Court has granted bail to the Principal of Islamic High School, Mr. Abdullahi Fasasi; Agidigbo FM proprietor, Alhaji Oriyomi Hamzat; and Olori Naomi Silekunola, an estranged wife of the Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi. The trio are facing prosecution over their alleged roles in the tragic stampede that claimed the lives of 35 children on December 18, 2024.

The decision, made on Monday at the court sitting in Ibadan, followed arguments from their defense counsels. The accused were initially remanded at the Agodi Correctional Facility by an Iyaganku Magistrate Court pending further proceedings.
