The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has officially announced a significant increase in corps members’ monthly allowance, raising it from N33,000 to N77,000, starting February 2025. This was disclosed by the Director-General of the NYSC, Brigadier General Yusha’u Ahmed, during his visit to the 2024 Batch ‘C’ Stream II corps members in Katsina State on Thursday.

Ahmed confirmed that the pay raise has been captured in the 2025 Federal Government budget and will take effect once the budget is passed. He reassured corps members of the government’s commitment to their welfare and security, stating that deployments would be limited to safe locations.
