Federal prosecutors have intensified their case against music mogul Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, alleging he trafficked at least three women over a 20-year period. A new indictment filed on January 30, 2025, in Manhattan federal court accuses Combs of transporting female victims and commercial sex workers across state lines and internationally.

The updated three-count indictment, while not introducing additional charges, broadens the scope of the allegations to include multiple victims. Combs, 55, had previously pleaded not guilty to an earlier indictment from September, which identified only one female victim. His trial is scheduled for May 5, 2025, in Manhattan federal court.

Prosecutors assert that Combs utilized his business empire, including Bad Boy Entertainment, to facilitate a range of criminal activities. The indictment details accusations of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, and transportation for prostitution. It alleges that Combs coerced women into participating in recorded sexual performances, referred to as “freak offs,” with male sex workers, some of whom were transported across state lines.

The indictment also highlights instances of physical abuse, including a 2016 incident captured on hotel security footage, where Combs was seen striking and dragging a woman attempting to leave a “freak off.” This incident aligns with previous allegations made by Combs’ former girlfriend, R&B singer Cassie Ventura, who accused him in a civil lawsuit of prolonged physical abuse, sexual slavery, and rape. That lawsuit was settled shortly after its filing, with Combs denying the allegations.

In response to the new indictment, Combs’ attorney, Marc Agnifilo, stated, “Mr. Combs is as committed as ever to fighting these charges and winning at trial.”
