Popular activist and former presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), Omoyele Sowore, has responded to reports that the Nigeria Police Force has launched a manhunt for him following a viral video he shared online.

The video, recorded by Sowore and shared on his social media platforms, captures a confrontation between him and police officers stationed along the Murtala Muhammed International Airport Access Road in Lagos. In the clip, the activist criticized the officers for causing traffic congestion on the busy route.

Sowore, in a post on his official X (formerly Twitter) account on Wednesday night, confirmed receiving information about the police search. He declared his availability for arrest and revealed that he is currently in Abuja, ready to cooperate with the authorities.
