Rihanna’s partner, rapper A$AP Rocky was acquitted on February 18, 2025, of all charges related to a 2021 shooting incident involving his former friend, Terell Ephron, known as A$AP Relli. The Los Angeles jury found Rocky not guilty of two felony counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm.
The incident in question occurred in November 2021 in Hollywood, where Rocky was accused of firing a handgun at Ephron, resulting in a minor injury. Throughout the three-week trial, the defense maintained that the firearm was a prop used in a music video and that the allegations were financially motivated.
Upon hearing the not guilty verdict, an emotional A$AP Rocky embraced his partner, Rihanna, who had been a constant presence during the proceedings. He expressed profound gratitude to the jury, stating, “Thank y’all for saving my life.”
Rihanna took to social media to share her relief, writing, “The glory belongs to God and God alone! Thankful, humbled by His mercy!”
The couple, who have been together since 2020 and share two young sons, can now look forward to resuming their lives without the shadow of this legal battle.
