Admiralty University of Nigeria (ADUN) is on the verge of appointing a new Vice Chancellor following the conclusion of a rigorous selection process that identified the top three most qualified candidates.

According to an insider who spoke on condition of anonymity, the Joint Selection Board has finalized its recommendations, with Professor Lucien Chukwu emerging as the top candidate, scoring 83.41%. He outperformed Professor Ifeoma Irene Ijeh, who secured 69.16%, and a third unnamed contender.

The initial screening process shortlisted five professors, including Lucien Chukwu, Sunny Iyuke, Christopher B. N. Ogbogbo, Lawrence Omo-Aghoja, and Ifeoma Irene Ijeh. However, after further evaluation, the board narrowed its selection to the top three.
