Ayra Starr’s mother, Mrs. Aderibigbe, has encouraged Nigerians to help their middle-aged mothers join TikTok, emphasizing that the platform offers mental benefits and creative stimulation.
In a video shared via her TikTok page, Mrs. Aderibigbe, who has gained popularity for her trendy content, revealed how TikTok has positively impacted her mindset and outlook on life.
“TikTok Helps Middle-Aged Women Mentally”
Expressing gratitude for her online community, she urged children to introduce their mothers, aged 40-60, to the platform, saying it fosters mental agility, creativity, and self-expression.
“I’m so grateful to be on TikTok. I feel privileged to have you all in my life. If your mum is between 40-60 years old, encourage her to join TikTok because it helps mentally.
I can testify to it—my thinking now is different from before. I’m more creative, and it’s refreshing. So, encourage your mums to come and share their life experiences with us,” she said.
The Rise of Middle-Aged Women on Social Media
Social media has increasingly become a space for middle-aged and older adults, offering them opportunities to share knowledge, stay engaged, and even monetize content. Mrs. Aderibigbe’s message aligns with the growing digital movement, where older women redefine social norms and explore new creative spaces.
