Blackburn Rovers manager John Eustace has praised Emmanuel Dennis for his promising debut performance in the Emirates FA Cup clash against Wolverhampton Wanderers, despite his team suffering a defeat at Ewood Park on Sunday.
Dennis, who joined Rovers on loan from Nottingham Forest last week, was in action for 66 minutes, showcasing his attacking flair. The 27-year-old forward registered three shots, two key passes, and completed two dribbles, demonstrating his potential impact for the team.
Eustace’s Verdict on Dennis’ Performance
Speaking after the game, Eustace was pleased with the Nigerian’s contribution:
“I thought Emmanuel showed glimpses of what a good player he can be. Augustus (Kargbo) was really good, really exciting as well,” he told Rovers TV.
Dennis’ arrival at Blackburn is expected to boost their attacking options as they push for a strong finish in the Championship and a possible return to the Premier League.
Despite the FA Cup elimination, Rovers will now focus on their league campaign, with Dennis expected to play a key role in their upcoming fixtures.
