Nigerian culinary enthusiast Damilola Adeparusi, widely recognized as Chef Dammy, has taken a significant step in her gastronomic career by enrolling at the Hospitality Business School in Lagos. This move comes after her notable cook-a-thon in June 2023, which brought her into the national spotlight.
On February 9, 2025, Chef Dammy shared her enthusiasm on Instagram, posting a photo in her new chef’s uniform with the caption, “My first time in school uniform as a proper pro. Chef in the making.” She expressed gratitude to Nigerian food entrepreneur Oluwatobi Fletcher, known as Ofadaboy, and the Ekiti State Government for their support in facilitating her enrollment.
The scholarship, a collaborative effort between the Hospitality Business School, Ofadaboy, and the Ekiti State Government, was initially announced in December 2024 during the Ofada Rice Day Festival. In January, it was confirmed that Chef Dammy would also receive five additional courses to become a well-rounded chef.
