The mother of Nigerian music legend 2Baba, Mrs. Rose Idibia, has publicly pleaded with Edo State lawmaker Natasha Osawaru to leave her son alone, claiming he is not in his right senses amid his ongoing divorce from Annie Idibia.

In a viral video circulating online, Mrs. Idibia accused Natasha of putting beads on 2Baba’s hands and neck, suggesting they might have influenced his recent highly publicized marriage proposal to the politician.

“Good evening, Nigerians. My name is Mrs. Rose Idibia, the mother of 2Baba. This message is for Miss Natasha Osawaru of Edo State. I’m calling on all mothers in Nigeria to help me beg her to free my son.

“My son is going through a divorce process and is clearly not in his right senses now. I know my son well. That is not him. Please, Natasha, the beads you put on his hand and on his neck, remove them and free him,” she pleaded.

The controversial proposal came just days after 2Baba announced his split from Annie Idibia, sparking debates on whether his relationship with Natasha Osawaru began before or after the separation. While some fans support his right to move on, others question the timing and circumstances surrounding the engagement.
