He stated, “You’re going to get a rollercoaster of results with a young team; you’re not going to get a perfect climb to the top.”
Neville pinpointed specific areas needing reinforcement, suggesting that Chelsea should invest in a goalkeeper, a center-forward, and possibly a center-back to compete with top-tier teams like Liverpool, Manchester City, and Arsenal. He remarked, “They need improvements in two or three positions… [They should invest] in a goalkeeper, a centre-forward, maybe a centre-back.”
Currently, Chelsea sits fourth in the Premier League standings with 43 points, trailing third-placed Nottingham Forest by four points. The club is anticipated to be active in the upcoming summer transfer window, with reports linking them to players such as Victor Osimhen.
