Big Brother Naija star Deeone has admitted to orchestrating a setup against social media activist VeryDarkMan (VDM) using his controversial appearance on the Honest Bunch podcast, a move that ultimately led to Nedu Wazobia’s removal from the show.
Speaking on TVC’s Breakfast Show, Deeone revealed that he deliberately planned his podcast appearance without Nedu’s knowledge, using it as a strategic platform to bait and expose VDM.
“I was the one who set a trap for VeryDarkMan using Nedu,” Deeone confessed. “I planned the whole thing alone, but Nedu had no idea. If I had said those things on social media, people would have accused me of chasing clout. I needed a platform, and the podcast was perfect.”
Deeone had sparked controversy during the podcast by accusing VDM of being sexually involved with men. In response, VDM launched a scathing attack on Nedu, accusing him of exploiting upcoming entertainers for sexual favors. The backlash from the scandal resulted in Nedu’s unexpected removal from the show.
Expressing regret over the unintended consequences, Deeone admitted that he did not foresee Nedu losing his job.
“Even Nedu is shocked. He wouldn’t have allowed it if I had told him. I honestly feel bad about what happened to him. I used Nedu as the bait to get the fish, and it worked perfectly,” he added.
The revelation has sent shockwaves through social media, with many questioning Deeone’s tactics and the ethical implications of his actions. Meanwhile, Nedu and VeryDarkMan are yet to publicly respond to Deeone’s confession.
