Popular Nollywood actress Halima Abubakar has made a heartfelt plea for financial assistance, revealing her ongoing struggles to make ends meet following her suspension from the industry.
In a distressing video shared on her Instagram page on Tuesday, Halima appeared pale and visibly unwell, lamenting how betrayal from her colleagues and best friend had left her heartbroken.
“People are confused about what is happening. I’m not feeling fine, but I just try to be strong. I pretend I’m okay, but this is the real me. Every day I post pictures with TikTok filters, but this is how I actually look,” she said.
The actress, who has been absent from the movie industry for over six years, disclosed that she has undergone multiple medical check-ups and MRIs but continues to battle severe health issues, including high blood pressure.
“My BP is 157. What am I thinking? My own best friend said I am lying, yet they didn’t check on me once. Do you all want me to die? Can’t you see how I look?” she lamented.
Halima also expressed frustration over accusations that she was faking her illness, stating that she had been receiving medical care at a Turkish hospital.
Her emotional plea has sparked reactions across social media, with fans and colleagues expressing concern over her deteriorating health and financial struggles.
