The 17th edition of the Headies Awards, Nigeria’s most prestigious music event, has unveiled its nomination list, spotlighting the biggest names in the music industry over the past year.
Topping the list is Tochukwu Ojogwu, aka Odumodublvck, with five nominations, including Best Rap Single, Best Collaboration, and Lyricist on the Roll. Close behind him are Ayra Starr and Shallipopi, who each secured three nominations in multiple competitive categories.
In a historic posthumous recognition, the late Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, earned three nominations, underscoring the lasting impact of his music despite his tragic passing on September 12, 2023.
