Super Eagles defender Ola Aina has expressed his desire to remain at Nottingham Forest beyond his current contract, which expires in five months.

The 28-year-old, who has impressed since joining the Tricky Trees on a free transfer, has become an integral part of Nuno Espírito Santo’s squad. Speaking to Sky Sports, Aina confirmed his interest in a long-term stay at the club.

“I hope so, I really enjoy it here. I enjoy the staff, the players, the club, the community. Everything about it is a good place, so, yeah, hopefully,” he said.

Forest boss Nuno recently stated that he is confident Aina will commit his future to the club, given his consistent performances and impact on the team.

Nottingham Forest exercised a one-year contract extension for Aina last summer, and negotiations are expected to take place in the coming weeks to secure a longer deal.

With his versatility and experience, the Nigeria international remains a valuable asset for the Premier League side, and fans will be hoping he extends his stay at the City Ground.
