Nigerian street-hop artist, Portable, has publicly pleaded with President Bola Tinubu to intervene in his ongoing legal dispute with the Ogun State government, seeking forgiveness from Governor Dapo Abiodun over the charges against him.
Portable, who is currently in hiding, is facing assault allegations after being arraigned alongside nine associates for allegedly attacking officials from the Ogun State Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development. The case, presided over by Magistrate O.M. Somefun, saw the court granting N5 million bail each to Portable’s detained associates while adjourning the case to March 17 for further hearing.

Speaking from an undisclosed location via a viral video on Tuesday, Portable denied the allegations and begged for his associates’ release, expressing fears over their prolonged detention. He also pleaded directly to President Tinubu to intervene on his behalf, insisting he is “a government child” and should be pardoned.
“President Tinubu, may you never cry over your children. Please help me beg Governor Dapo Abiodun to forgive me. Federal government liability is a government child. I be government pikin, please help me beg the governor to consider me as one of his children,” Portable lamented in the video.
