In the early hours of Saturday, February 8, 2025, a catastrophic collision between a passenger bus and a cargo truck near Escárcega in Campeche, southern Mexico, resulted in the deaths of 41 individuals. The bus, operated by Tours Acosta, was en route from Cancún to Tabasco, carrying 48 passengers at the time of the accident.
