A small Beech F90 King Air aircraft crashed into a bus on São Paulo’s busy Marques de São Vicente Avenue on the morning of February 7, 2025, resulting in the deaths of the pilot and co-pilot. The incident also left six others injured, including a bus passenger and a motorcyclist struck by debris.
The aircraft had departed from the nearby Campo de Marte Airport, bound for Porto Alegre, but lost altitude shortly after takeoff. Surveillance footage captured the plane descending rapidly before colliding with the avenue, narrowly missing a line of waiting cars. Both the plane and the bus caught fire upon impact, with firefighters swiftly extinguishing the flames.

Authorities have launched an investigation into the cause of the crash. Weather conditions at the time were reported as favorable, and the aircraft’s maintenance records appeared to be in order. The Brazilian Air Force is leading the inquiry to determine the factors that led to this tragic event.
