Traffic disruptions hit the Abuja-Keffi Expressway again as another truck crash was recorded on Thursday, March 20, barely a day after a CNG-laden tanker collapsed near Karu Bridge.

The latest accident, which occurred at about 3:54 PM, involved a fertilizer-laden truck, a Hijet vehicle, and a dump truck (tipper). Fortunately, no casualties were reported.

The Head of Public Affairs at the FCT Emergency Management Department, Nkechi Isa, confirmed the incident, urging motorists to exercise caution. She assured that the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) had been deployed to clear the wreckage and restore normal traffic flow.

Eyewitness footage captured bystanders attempting to remove fertilizer bags from the overturned truck to ease congestion. Authorities have reiterated warnings on reckless driving and overloading, which have become major causes of accidents along the Abuja-Keffi corridor.

This marks the second serious accident in 24 hours, raising concerns over road safety on one of Nigeria’s busiest highways.
