Nigerian music sensation Ahmed Ololade, popularly known as Asake, has reconciled with his father, Fatai Odunsi, after years of estrangement. The Afrobeat star has not only made peace with his father but has also promised to buy him a house and cover his medical expenses.
The reconciliation comes just days after Odunsi publicly accused his son of neglecting him since his health began to deteriorate in 2022. However, in a new video that surfaced on Sunday, the elderly man confirmed that Asake has now reached out, resolving all their differences.
Speaking in Yoruba, Odunsi stated, “His mother ought to ask him when last he saw me. That was what got me angry, but we have sorted all the problems. We are no longer fighting.” He further disclosed that Asake has pledged to fulfill all his needs, including securing a new home for him.
Beyond settling the family rift, Asake has also accepted full responsibility for his 11-year-old daughter, Zeenat. According to Odunsi, “He has never denied his child, but he has now promised to take full responsibility for her.”
The reconciliation marks a significant turn in Asake’s personal life, as fans applaud his decision to mend family ties and embrace his parental duties. With this gesture, the singer proves that success and stardom do not erase the responsibilities of family and fatherhood.
