Nigerian singer Asake’s father, Fatai Odunsi, has made a distressing appeal for financial assistance, alleging that his son has abandoned him since he suffered a partial stroke in March 2022. In a viral video circulating on social media, Odunsi pleaded with Nigerians to help him cover his medical bills, stating that he has been unable to reach his son despite multiple attempts.

“The last time I saw Ahmed (Asake) was when my sickness started in March 2022,” Odunsi lamented. “If I call him, he won’t pick up. Please help me, it is your help that I need.”

The emotional appeal has sparked a wave of reactions online, with fans divided over the situation. Some have criticized Asake for allegedly neglecting his father, while others caution against jumping to conclusions, suggesting there might be deeper family issues at play.
