Afrobeats sensation Ayra Starr has confessed that she often dislikes her own songs after recording them, constantly feeling they could be improved.

Speaking in a recent interview with Rolling Stone, the ‘Rush’ hitmaker shared how she struggles with perfectionism, frequently doubting her work even after finalizing a track.

“I usually don’t like my songs after recording. It’s so bad. I don’t even know why. I just feel like it can get better and better, and I just keep trying to go, go, go until it’s perfect,” she admitted.

However, one song stood out. The singer described her latest track, ‘Woman Commando’ featuring Anitta and Coco Jones, as the exception, calling it “crazy good” and one she instantly loved.

The 21-year-old Mavin star, known for her energetic stage presence and unique vocal delivery, also revealed that she draws musical inspiration from artists like SZA, Nicki Minaj, Rihanna, and Rema.
