Popular Yoruba actor Babatunde Tayo, widely known as Baba Tee, has made a shocking confession, admitting to having a brief sexual encounter with comedian and skit maker Ganiyu Morufu aka Dara, the wife of his colleague, Ijoba Lande.
The revelation came during a live TikTok interview hosted by socialite Esabod on Sunday, marking a dramatic U-turn from Baba Tee’s earlier denial. Just days ago, the actor had vehemently refuted allegations of an affair with Dara, even challenging Lande to provide evidence.
Lande, who had accused his wife of infidelity, claimed that at least 21 men in the entertainment industry had been involved with her. One of the names he mentioned was Baba Tee. Initially, the actor dismissed the claims, insisting he had only met Dara once in 2023 through actress Marygold.
However, in a twist that has now rocked the entertainment scene, Baba Tee confessed that he did have sex with Dara—but under unusual circumstances. According to him, the incident occurred during a ‘Truth or Dare’ game that involved both Dara and Marygold.
“So immediately we began the game, Marygold went completely naked and kept daring me consistently to Dara, while she kept taking alcohol as a choice of not wanting to do the tasks I demanded from her,” Baba Tee revealed.
“Marygold then dared Dara to let me have a ‘quick’ sexual intercourse with her, and she obliged. I will not deny that I had a short sexual encounter with her. It is the first time I am saying it. It is now that I discovered that it was a set-up by both of them to malign my personality.”
Following his admission, Esabod advised Baba Tee to publicly apologize to Lande. By Monday, the actor took to his official Facebook page to express remorse.
“I am deeply sorry from the bottom of my heart, brother, Lande,” he wrote. “Deep how Dara became Lande’s wife without my knowledge… Hmmm. I fear women.”
The controversy deepens with reports that Marygold, Lande’s former manager, allegedly recorded the sexual act between Baba Tee and Dara. If true, this revelation could expose a more sinister plot behind the scandal that has now gripped Nollywood.
