His family confirmed his peaceful passing on March 21, 2025, in an emotional statement, saying, “Our hearts are broken. With profound sorrow, we announce the passing of our beloved George Edward Foreman Sr., who peacefully departed surrounded by loved ones.”
Foreman was a force to be reckoned with in the ring, winning gold at the 1968 Olympics before becoming a dominant heavyweight champion. He fought in some of the greatest boxing matches in history, including his legendary 1974 clash against Muhammad Ali in ‘The Rumble in the Jungle’ and his epic battle with Joe Frazier in ‘The Fight of the Century’.
