In a statement released on Monday, March 24, 2025, by his Chief Press Secretary, Nelson Chukwudi, Fubara labeled the viral clips as “fake and malicious,” emphasizing that affected communities have refuted claims of explosions, affirming the safety and functionality of critical infrastructure. ​

Fubara stated unequivocally that he has no affiliations with any militant organizations and would never support actions that threaten the state’s peace or the security of vital oil and gas installations. He highlighted his administration’s commitment to maintaining tranquility, asserting that sustainable development is achievable only in a peaceful environment. ​
