Senator Ned Nwoko has hailed President Bola Tinubu for prioritizing the reconstruction of the Asaba-Benin Expressway and the completion of the Second Niger Bridge access road, calling it a critical step towards economic growth and national cohesion.

Addressing Tinubu in a statement on Monday, Nwoko, who represents Delta North and serves on the Senate Committee on Works, emphasized that the projects are long overdue and will significantly ease transportation challenges for millions of Nigerians.

“The Asaba-Benin Expressway has been a nightmare for commuters and businesses due to its deplorable state,” Nwoko stated. “I have persistently pushed for urgent intervention, and I am pleased to see that the project is now receiving the attention it deserves.”

The senator highlighted that the Senate, under Godswill Akpabio’s leadership, has prioritized road rehabilitation nationwide, mandating the restoration of key infrastructure to boost trade, reduce accidents, and enhance connectivity.

Nwoko also commended the Minister of Works, David Umahi, for his hands-on approach, reaffirming his commitment to ensuring that these projects are executed efficiently.
