Kwara United’s management has delivered a clear ultimatum to its technical crew: turn things around or face consequences. This strong stance follows a disappointing 2-0 home defeat to Akwa United in Ilorin, leaving the club in a precarious 13th place on the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) table.
In an official statement issued on Monday, Club Chairman Kumbi Titiloye, through General Manager Mallam Bashir Badawiy, expressed frustration over the team’s poor form. He reassured fans that while management does not interfere in team selection, they demand immediate improvements from the Tunde Sanni-led crew.
“We sincerely apologize to our supporters for the disappointing results,” Badawiy stated. “The technical crew has been warned to step up their performance as the season draws to a close. We cannot continue on this path.”
Sunday’s loss at home has intensified pressure on the team, with fans growing restless over inconsistent performances. As the NPFL season enters its final stretch, Kwara United must deliver results or risk further turmoil.
