Prophet Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere, popularly known as Odumeje, has set social media ablaze with his unexpected declaration to contest Nigeria’s presidency in 2027, vowing to bring modernization and a “digital life” to the nation.
The Anambra-based cleric made his intentions known during a viral Sunday sermon, where he lambasted both past and present leaders for failing to transform Nigeria, blaming their age and outdated leadership approaches.
“We need a young leader in this country, and I think I am coming out. We need a digital leader, not old cargoes. Am I sure you hear me? I think I will come out, I will come out for president,” he declared.
Odumeje, known for his theatrical preaching style and viral catchphrases, did not disclose the political party he intends to run under. However, he assured his followers of his capability to build a modern Nigeria.
“Are you ready for me? Odumeje for president? Because I know what you need. I want to construct a main road called Citadel for you. I want to give you a modern life, a digital life,” he added.
His announcement has sparked a frenzy of reactions across social media, with some Nigerians celebrating the news as a fresh perspective, while others question his political qualifications.
