Singer Paul Okoye, popularly known as Rudeboy, has slammed Nollywood filmmakers for what he described as embarrassing mediocrity after spotting a glaring editing blunder in a movie.

The music star took to his Instagram story to share a clip where a microphone operator was clearly visible in a scene—a mistake that should have been removed during post-production.

Expressing his disbelief, Paul sarcastically mocked the filmmakers, saying, “So una shoot video finish, edit am, even microphone man put inside the video. Please, just watch. Tell me, who’s this person? Hahaha.”

His post has since sparked reactions across social media, with many Nigerians calling out the industry’s persistent challenges with quality control. While Nollywood has made significant strides in global recognition, cases of poor editing, continuity errors, and rushed productions continue to taint its reputation.

This latest call-out from Rudeboy adds to ongoing criticisms of the industry’s technical lapses, raising concerns about the standards upheld by some filmmakers.
