A fatal road accident along Olomore Housing Road, Abeokuta, has claimed the life of 25-year-old motorcyclist, Muhammad Dahuru, while leaving three others injured in a multiple-vehicle collision on Sunday night.

The crash, which occurred at about 8:00 PM, involved a Toyota Camry (Lagos SMK 303 BX), two motorcycles, and a tricycle. The Toyota, driven by 45-year-old Ayodeji Oyedele, reportedly collided with the motorcycles ridden by Ajayi Yusuf, 29, and the deceased, Muhammad Dahuru, as well as a tricycle driven by 36-year-old David Samuel.

Confirming the incident on Monday, Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, Omolola Odutola, revealed that reckless and dangerous driving by the Toyota Camry driver was the primary cause of the accident. The suspect has since been taken into police custody, pending further investigations by the Motor Traffic Division.

Three other victims—David Samuel (36, tricycle rider), Ajayi Yusuf (29, motorcycle rider), and Balogun Lekan (50, pillion passenger)—suffered injuries and were treated and discharged from Daverose Hospital, Olomore. Dahuru, however, was confirmed dead by medical personnel and released to his family for burial in accordance with Islamic rites.

Authorities have assured the public that justice will be served, emphasizing the need for strict adherence to road safety regulations to prevent further fatalities.
