Popular Nigerian writer and influencer, Solomon Buchi, has weighed in on the ongoing controversy surrounding singer and comedian Oluwadolarz, advising his fiancée, Ifeluv, to end the relationship despite pleas from his mother.

The drama erupted after Ifeluv publicly announced her breakup with Oluwadolarz, citing infidelity and financial irresponsibility. The couple, who share a child, have been at the center of social media discussions following a viral video of Oluwadolarz’s mother, Mama Dolarz, pleading with Ifeluv to reconsider her decision and forgive her son.

However, Solomon Buchi, in a post on X (formerly Twitter), firmly urged Ifeluv to disregard the emotional appeal, stating that staying in a toxic relationship would only lead to lifelong misery.

“Dear Ife, while marriage is not a bed of roses, it is wrong to enter it as a bed of thorns. If everything you’ve said about Oluwadolarz is true—his cheating spree and lack of financial stability—then let him go,” Buchi wrote.

He further emphasized that occasional mistakes can be forgiven, but a habitual cheater who refuses to change is a red flag. “It’s one thing for a man to cheat once and make it up to you, but if he keeps sleeping with everything in a skirt, it is hellish and characteristic of him. Ignore his mother’s plea; she is from a different generation that does not understand the standards of this one. A broken relationship is better than a broken marriage,” he advised.

Buchi’s take has since sparked a heated debate, with social media users sharing diverse opinions on the role of family intervention in relationships, the expectations of forgiveness, and the impact of generational beliefs on modern relationships.
