Wednesday, 6th April 2022 saw the future of Youths and students from South East gain academic leverage and better clarity as they bagged Scholarships from MTN Foundation in Owerri, Imo State.
MTN Scholarships, under the Youth Development Cause, is an annual award that seeks to recognize and reward qualified high-performing students in Nigerian Public Tertiary Institutions to the tune of #200,000 per Beneficiary.
Giving a speech at the event, the Special Adviser to the Imo State Governor on Youth Affairs, Hon. Eric Uwakwe appreciated MTN Nigeria for their corporate social responsibility measures via the MTN Foundation in lessening the burden of academic fees for students in the South East as well as helping to grow the people development initiative in the State.
He also congratulated the beneficiaries and advised them to put the funds to good use academically and also expressed the commitment and willingness of the 3R administration led by Senator Hope Uzodimma, the Executive Governor of Imo State in driving human capital development projects and scaling the educational sector in the region.
