Nollywood sensation Digidi DunHill who has been in the Showbiz for more than 20 years is set for another career lift with a brand new single.
Digidi DunHill who will be tagged a survivor, having cheated death in several ghastly accidents, including one which had a Luxurious bus drawn with 52 people. He made his mark as a rapper, having started way back in 1992, heading a group ‘Power House’ when according to him had “rap was about rhymes and not beats”. He recalled having the likes of Klint Da Drunk, 2Baba (then Lord E), Black Face (then Pirates), Chidi Mokeme, Ernest Asuzo, Nigga Raw, MC Loph amongst others.
Often tagged Nollywood bad boy because of hunky nature and ease in interpreting action roles, he appears to be a goal getter with numerous laurels to his name despite seeing several setbacks including an accident that kept him out of showbiz for five years, after the release of the hit single ‘Who de dia’ in 2000. He said he is never going to stay away from music because it is what he is born to do.
“It is inborn, something I am created for. Most rappers are just beat followers, but Chronicles of O.G (Old Guy) is a guide to real MC”
“I’m an O.G, represent who you are. I am as real as I can be. If anyone is 20 years in the rap game and still spit fire, I doubt how many can”, he said.
His single ‘Osho Free’ drops any time this week and said he will just let the song speak for him. “Songs speak for good artistes and I am not just coming back to be remembered, I am back like a king, for real and to stay”
Beyond being an actor and a rapper, Digidi DunHill is also a screenwriter and movie producer with Red Night; 11 Days, 11 Nights; 12 Apostle; War Front; Mafia Continues and other movies to his name.
