The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has disclosed those allegedly planting bombs and Improvised Explosive Devices, IEDs, in the Southeast.

IPOB alleged that the Nigerian Government, the Nigerian Army, and the police are planting bombs and IEDs in the Southeast.

Emma Powerful, the spokesman of IPOB, alleged that security agencies are planting bombs in the Southeast to implicate the Eastern Security Network, ESN, in the region.

Powerful noted that IPOB and ESN do not need IEDs to chase away killer Fulani herders in the Southeast.

According to Powerful: “We are the global movement and family of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) under our great leader, Nnamdi Kanu, wish to alert Biafrans and the International community that the Nigeria security agents, especially the Nigerian Army, have changed tactics in its desperation to indict IPOB and ESN volunteers.

“The Nigerian terrorists in army uniform have now resorted to planting bombs in Biafraland in pursuance of its evil agenda to commit mass murder of our people.

“It is on record that IPOB, ESN, volunteers, and members have no business with IEDs because we do not need IEDs to drive Fulani terrorist Herdsmen from our forests and farmlands. The Nigerian Army, however, now populated or made up of Boko Haram and ISWAP, are known to use IEDs because of their unquenching taste for innocent blood.

“Nigeria’s Government in its desperation to diminish the outstanding global reputation of IPOB and of the ESN at home has fully institutionalised kidnapping in the South East as a secret revenue machine of the Government against the Igbos and the South.”

Recently, the Nigerian Army accused IPOB and ESN members of planting bombs across the Southeast.

The Nigerian Army had said bombs planted by IPOB recently killed two members of the group in Imo State.

Onyema Nwachukwu, the Army spokesman, said the incident occurred along Eke Ututu-Orsu road in Orsu Local Government Area of Imo State.
