Gospel singer Mr Kyze has called on his colleagues to step up their games so as to win the music world from the hands of secular artistes.
According Mr Kyze, secular artistes have taken over everything to the extent that some gospel artistes now copy them.
“It is very appalling, but what can you say when we are all aware that we are in end-time.
How can someone who calls himself a gospel artistes copy the concept of a secular artiste? The can call it ‘anything for Jesus’, but the truth remains that music comes from God and every true gospel singer will always wait on the Lord for his or her songs” He said while speaking to www.otowngist.com.
According to the Imo State born singer, money has become the driving force in the music industry as well as the reason why artistes want to do anything they can to make money, not minding the effect it will have on the people of God.
“I won’t be the judge here; I’ll let God do it Himself, but gospel musician will lose it if we don’t step up to bring in creativity and inspirations from God into what we are doing.
As a kid, I saw secular artistes copy gospel artistes but now, the reverse is the case. Everyone sits back enjoying anything they see as gospel music but I know that God will reserve that question for every musician. He will surely ask us how many lives we saved or destroyed with the talent he gave us.” He added.
Mr Kyze recently released his debut single ‘Ohuru M n’anya’, featuring Mark T after changing his name from Prince Chima Ewurum and switching from the traditional Igbo gospel music (chain songs) to contemporary gospel music.
