Aloy Ejimakor, Special Counsel to Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has mocked President Muhammadu Buhari over his recent comment.

Ejimakor said “cut and run” was not the solution to the challenges Buhari may be experiencing in office.

Buhari had said he can’t wait to leave office in 2023 because it has been tough.

The President spoke when he hosted some All Progressives Congress (APC) governors, legislators and chieftains at his Daura home in Katsina.

Noting that he has less than a year left in office, the Nigerian leader assured that he would do his best in the remaining months.

“I wish the person who is coming after me the very best. I am eager to go. I can tell you it has been tough”, he said.

Reacting, Ejimakor said the problems of Nigeria had gone beyond tough but irredeemable.

In a tweet, the Special Counsel lamented that Nigeria is divided along ethnic and religious lines.

He insisted that running away would not fix the problems confronting Nigeria.

“Buhari cries out: ‘I am eager to go, Nigeria has been tough’. No sir. Nigeria is beyond tough; it’s irredeemably divided along ethnic & religious lines. And the fix is not to ‘cut & run’ but to summon the will to put Nigeria to a vote,” he tweeted.
