The President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), on Wednesday, told world leaders that his regime is committed to delivering a free and fair electoral process that would usher in a new president next year.

He also said a new face will be representing Nigeria at the 78th session of the UN General Assembly come 2023.

Buhari made these comments during his last address as President at the 77th session of the UNGA holding in New York, USA.

He also called for the lightening of the debt burdens for less capable countries and outright debt cancellation for states incapable of repaying debts; a call he made last year at the 76th session of the UNGA.
