Owerri hip-hop genre has come to be a unique one because almost all the top artistes are graduates while some are in Post Graduate school. With the like of Gneneral Sleezy, Seaflow, CyndyO, Acharaman, CyphaTyte, Harmony as graduates, while X-buster, Kenny Cee and others as undergraduates the quality of creativity in the industry is expected to be high and this has somehow scared away those who cannot measure up with others in terms of education, even when they have the talent.
But for Dawn Tawn, university education is not prerequisite for producing good music. He believes he can shake the music industry with secondary education.
The Obodukwu born rap artiste registered his presence with Ndi Nku, a hit single which he performed with Acharaman at the Hot 99.5 FM’s Easter Rave. It is on radio and internet as well.
Dawn Tawn is currently working with Dj Cueba, and others in the remix of Ndi Nku which is expected to drop soon.
