The new Commissioner of Police, in Niger State CP, Ogundele J. Ayodeji has solicited the support of all stakeholders, residents and Nigerlites to continue giving useful information to the Command to adequately discharge its duties to the state.

Ayodeji, who is the 36th CP to the state assumed duty today, 17 October 2022, following the retirement of former CP, Monday Bala Kuryas.

The commissioner in a statement signed by the state Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, DSP Wasiu Abiodun in Minna said he would build on the successes of his predecessor towards ensuring a peaceful environment in the State for economic growth and development.

CP Ogundele hails from Oyo town in Oyo West LGA of Oyo State.

He holds B.sc and M.sc degrees in Political Science from the University of Ibadan in 1985 and 1988 respectively.

He was enlisted into the Nigeria Police Force as a Cadet ASP on March 3rd, 1990.

According to Abiodun,” CP Ayodeji has served in various capacities within the Force.
