The Shared Prosperity Government of Senator Hope Uzodimma has through the Imo State Oil Producing and Development Commission (ISOPADEC), continue to empower women with soft grants in the Oil Producing communities.

This is in line with the empowerment policy of the Imo State Oil Producing and Development Commission (ISOPADEC) under the Shared Prosperity Government, to cushion the effect of the economic crunch in the country.

According to the MD/CEO ISOPADEC, Chief Charles Orie, a total number of 33 women are chosen every month from the 3 Local Government of the Oil producing communities to help their small businesses.

He further advised the women to make judicious use of the funds given to them.

The empowerment for the month of October was prudently disbursed by the Chairman who was represented by the Special Advisor, Women Mobilization, Mrs. Elizabeth Opara.
