Director-General of National Youth Service Corps,NYSC, Brig-Gen. Zakari Kazaure, has advised corps members against keeping late night at their places of primary assignment.

The director-general gave the advice, Sunday night, when he paid a condolence visit to the  NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp at Yikpata, Edu Local Government Area of Kwara State over the death of female corps  member, last Thursday. According to him, “it is necessary at this point to remind our corps  members to endeavour to obey all the camp rules. They must ensure that they don’t keep late nights when they get to their places of assignments” He also said all corps members mobilised for national service have life insurance policy. He expressed optimism that the Federal Government would pay compensation to the family of the deceased corps member. Kazaure, however noted that it was the responsibility of state governments to provide and maintain facilities at the various orientation camps across the country and appealed to Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed of Kwara State to assist in uplifting the facilities at the Yikpata camp. “The Kwara State government has never ceased to help us, but we believe it can do more by also helping us to improve on our facilities in the camp,”he said.
