The Resident Electoral Commissioner, REC, of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, in Ondo State, Amb. Rufus Akeju has disclosed the commission has taken delivery of 3,933 Bimodal Voters Accreditation System, BVAS, ahead of 2023 general election.
Akeju also revealed that 5,329 ballot boxes, 23,598 sleeping mats have also been received by the state commission.
The REC, revealed this at a press briefing in Akure, the state capital while briefing newsmen at the state headquarters of the commission at Alagbaka, Akure on the activities of the commission ahead of the polls.
According to him, more polling units have been created in the state for easy access of voters in order for the commission to serve the people better.
“The following sensitive and non- sensitive election materials have so far been taken delivery of in Ondo State. BVAS, 3,933, Ballot Boxes, 5,329, Sleeping Mats, 23,598, Gum, 4,130 and Voting Cubicles = 2,224.”
He further advised prospective voters in the state to go to various wards to collect their PVC so that they can participate in the election process.
