The Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Anambra State Command, has arrested four people for vandalising the electricity armoured cable that powers the Chinua Achebe International Airport in Umueri.

The suspects, who reportedly specialise in vandalising armoured wires and other electrical facilities, were apprehended by Corps operatives on November 4, 2023.

The NSCDC State Commandant, Edwin Osuala, who paraded the suspects in Awka, on Friday, said the arrest came as a result of timely and credible intelligence provided to the Corps by a diligent Awka resident.
